At Amanwella there are plenty of adventures for families and couples. Surfing and scuba diving suits all levels. There is also fishing, and spinner dolphin- and whale-watching trips. Amanwella’s clean, serene lines frame the untamed landscape. Inspired by modernist Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, Suites are constructed from stone, timber and clay tiles of local origin. Each opens onto a private plunge pool.

There are 27 contemporary Suites dot hillside above the Indian Ocean, opening onto private terraces with dining tables and loungers.

SUITES

Amanwella’s contemporary suites feature floor to ceiling doors.  Offering lofty views of the sea and treetops, the 100-square-metre. Suites feature plunge pools in private courtyards and expansive terraces

OCEAN SUITES

Overlooking the sea and beach, with the private courtyard and plunge pool, ocean suites are 100 square metre. Ocean suite offer terraces with double sun lounger and outdoor dining table with two chairs.

DINING

The Restaurant and Beach Club specialise in locally-caught seafood as well as vibrant Sri Lankan curry dishes. Looking out over the palm – fringed bay from its elevated platforms and terrace, the Restaurant servers up the catch of the day, delivered fresh fish. Locally grown products features on the menu at both the Restaurant and Beach Club.

SPA

Spa treatments can be organised in the spa or inside the suites themselves. The all natural products are made locally. Private sessions of various yoga as well as meditation are also available for guests.
