Details
Nestled amongst the verdant waterways and lush floodplains of the Okavango Delta, the lodge is situated deep within the wilderness, combining its remote location with the world-class hospitality for which Belmond is so well renowned.
Sightings of elephants drinking from the wetlands and Africa’s celebrated fish eagles are a daily occurrence, and the region’s vast wildlife populations frequently cross the channels surrounding the lodge.
Intimate yet immersive, the lodge’s spacious tented rooms have been curated to blend seamlessly with the landscape, and each opens onto a generous private deck with a plunge pool overlooking the vistas beyond.
Designed with local influences, the rooms are furnished with large beds and feature walk-in wardrobes, luxurious bathrooms and outdoor showers, and are fully air-conditioned.
Throughout the lodge, Belmond’s hallmark dining experiences are set against dramatic scenery. Chefs prepare exquisite dishes inspired by African flavours, using local produce for meals savoured under the stars, as well as sunset drinks at the romantic Fish-Eagle Bar.
At the heart of the lodge are its engaging experiences, offering some of the most uplifting and inspiring wildlife sightings in the world. Centred around the wetlands that cocoon the lodge, safaris are water-first, unlike those in other land-based game reserves.
Explored by dugout canoes and motorised boats, the waterways provide prime views of birdlife and the animals inhabiting the area.
