The stars, aligned
Berkeley Travel holds Marriott STARS & Luminous, the programmes Marriott reserves for a select group of travel advisors. Its STARS tier covers every property of the group’s luxury names: Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Bvlgari, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis, from Knightsbridge to the Grand Canal. The Luminous tier extends the same treatment to select JW Marriott, W and Autograph addresses.
You pay the same rate as booking direct, and we charge no booking fee. What changes is the stay: breakfast each morning, a hotel credit of US$100 or more, an upgrade where available, and an in-person welcome. The credit is set by the property, shown in its local currency, and at higher-priced destinations it is often lifted to US$300 or US$500. Unusually, these bookings remain qualifying stays, so Bonvoy points and elite nights keep accruing, and at Bvlgari, where Bonvoy benefits do not normally reach, STARS and Luminous is the way in.

When something needs fixing, you have one number to call. Our team deals directly with each hotel’s sales office and head office on your behalf, before, during and after travel.

Marriott STARS and Luminous is Marriott’s programme for a select group of travel advisors. Its STARS tier covers the group’s luxury brands and its Luminous tier the premium brands. Berkeley Travel holds the programme in full, which means clients who book through us receive complimentary benefits that are not available when booking direct.
The STARS tier applies at every property of Marriott’s luxury brands: Bvlgari, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve and St. Regis. The Luminous tier applies at select properties of the premium brands, including JW Marriott, W Hotels, Westin and Autograph Collection. The benefits are broadly the same; at Luminous-tier hotels the US$100 credit applies at select properties only.
No. You pay the same best available rate you would pay booking directly with Marriott, and we charge no booking fee. The STARS and Luminous benefits are added on top at no extra cost.

Yes. STARS and Luminous bookings are qualifying stays, so you still earn Bonvoy points, elite-night credits and promotions, and your existing Bonvoy status is recognised alongside the programme benefits. At brands outside Bonvoy’s usual benefits, such as Bvlgari, this is one of the few ways to be recognised at all.
The headline benefits are similar: daily breakfast, a US$100 credit and an upgrade when available. The differences are practical. Fine Hotels + Resorts requires a Platinum or Centurion card, while STARS and Luminous requires nothing but booking through a member agency. STARS and Luminous stays also still earn Bonvoy points and elite nights, and you deal with a named Travel Designer rather than a call centre.
Usually, yes. If you have booked direct with Marriott on a flexible rate, we can normally rebook the same room and dates through our STARS and Luminous channel at the same rate, with the benefits added. Send us your confirmation and a Travel Designer will check what is possible.
You pay the hotel directly, exactly as if you had booked with it yourself. Your card guarantees the reservation and the hotel’s standard cancellation policy applies, which we confirm in writing before anything is committed.
Every property of Bvlgari, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and St. Regis worldwide under the STARS tier, from Bvlgari London to the Gritti Palace in Venice, plus select JW Marriott, W, Westin, and Autograph Collection properties under the Luminous tier. Your Travel Designer will confirm participation for your dates.
