Berkeley Travel is a Peninsula PenClub member, the programme The Peninsula Hotels reserves for a select group of travel advisors across its twelve houses, from Hong Kong to London. Where most programmes promise an upgrade if one is free on arrival, PenClub confirms yours at the time of booking.
You pay the same rate as booking direct, and we charge no booking fee. What changes is the stay: the upgrade in writing before you travel, breakfast each morning, a US$100 credit for dining or the spa, and Peninsula Time, with check-in from as early as 6am and check-out as late as 10pm. Long-haul arrivals and late departures stop being negotiations.

Benefit values vary by hotel and are confirmed by your Travel Designer at the time of booking. Guaranteed upgrades carry limited exclusions at some properties, which we flag before you commit.
More than the perks
The benefits are the visible part. The rest is judgement: knowing which Hong Kong rooms face the harbour, which Paris suites catch the Eiffel Tower, and when London’s Belgravia house is at its best. We have walked these properties, and we book them for clients week in, week out.
When something needs fixing, you have one number to call. Our team deals directly with each hotel’s sales office and head office on your behalf, before, during and after travel.
The rate is the same. The stay is not.

All twelve Peninsula hotels participate. If it carries the Peninsula name, your Travel Designer can book it with PenClub benefits, guaranteed at the time of booking.

PenClub is The Peninsula Hotels’ programme for a select group of travel advisors. Berkeley Travel is a PenClub member, which means clients who book any of the twelve Peninsula hotels through us receive benefits that are not available when booking direct, including an upgrade guaranteed at the time of booking.
No. You pay the same best available rate you would pay booking directly with Peninsula, and we charge no booking fee. The PenClub benefits are added on top at no extra cost.
A room upgrade guaranteed at the time of booking rather than on arrival, daily breakfast for two, a US$100 food and beverage or spa credit once per stay, Peninsula Time with guaranteed check-in from as early as 6am and check-out as late as 10pm, an upgraded welcome amenity, and priority over other consortia bookings for further upgrades.

Yes. PenClub benefits apply to any rate bookable directly with Peninsula, including advance-purchase rates and promotional third or fourth night free offers, which is unusually generous among these programmes. Your Travel Designer will confirm what applies to your dates.
Watch for Peninsula’s promotional third or fourth night free offers: a third night free is an effective 33% saving and a fourth night free 25%. PenClub benefits, including the guaranteed upgrade and breakfast, still apply on top of the saving.
The headline benefits are similar: daily breakfast, a US$100 credit and an upgrade. The differences are practical. Fine Hotels + Resorts upgrades depend on availability at check-in, while PenClub upgrades are guaranteed at the time of booking. Fine Hotels + Resorts requires a Platinum or Centurion card; PenClub requires nothing but booking through a member agency, and you deal with a named Travel Designer rather than a call centre.
Usually, yes. If you have booked direct with Peninsula on a flexible rate, we can normally rebook the same room and dates through our PenClub membership at the same rate, with the benefits added. Send us your confirmation and a Travel Designer will check what is possible.
You pay Peninsula directly, exactly as if you had booked with the hotel yourself. Your card guarantees the reservation and the hotel’s standard cancellation policy applies, which we confirm in writing before anything is committed.
