Details
Voyaging through the gateway between Singapore and Malaysia, Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train, embarks on multi-night itineraries across some of Southeast Asia’s most magnificent destinations as it travels through inspiring landscapes and historic cities.
The iconic green-and-cream exterior of the train meets the marvel of opulence that sets the tone for the interior, articulated through intricate marquetry and vintage fabrics in splashes of gold and vibrant hues.
The accommodations comprise elegant cabins that serve as stylish private lounges by day and cosy bedrooms at night. The Pullman Cabins feature a traditional upper and lower berth configuration, whilst the State Cabins are configured with two single beds at floor level and include private ensuite bathrooms.
The Presidential Suite is the ultimate rail abode, spanning 11.6 square metres and comprising two single beds and a spacious bathroom with added amenities, including a Nespresso machine and a personal music system controlled via Wi-Fi. Guests staying in the suite also enjoy free-flowing champagne and caviar on arrival.
Standout dining on the train is led by renowned Taiwanese chef André Chiang, who brings a contemporary take on Southeast Asian cuisine to the two restaurant cars, Malaya and Adisorn, which serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and exquisite evening meals.
For some added downtime in between excursions, the Dior Spa, occupying an entire carriage, sees two dedicated treatment rooms adorned with the Maison’s Toile de Jouy motif, offering signature treatments and specially created Dior rituals for the train.
