Located in the trendy Minato City in the Azabudai Hills development, Janu is the first hotel in the newly inaugurated sister brand of Aman Hotels and takes a new approach to Asian hospitality and refined luxury compared to its counterpart, serving as a more social and energetic hub.

Its 122 vibrant rooms are dressed in warm natural and neutral tones to create spaces that feel refined and relaxed whilst offering a luxurious abode in one of Tokyo’s most cosmopolitan districts.

Handcrafted Japanese design details and contemporary artwork adorn the walls of the rooms, which range from Deluxe and Premier Rooms to larger Corner Suites and Janu Suites, offering larger living spaces, walk-in wardrobes and sleek marble bathrooms.

The standout feature of Janu is undoubtedly its stunning spa, which spans an impressive 4,000 square metres across four floors of tranquillity and restoration, with facilities including one of Tokyo’s largest gyms, a 25-metre indoor pool, a hydrotherapy area and treatments featuring hammam and banya rituals, along with signature massages and therapies.

Reinforcing the social ethos at Janu, eight buzzing food and drink venues also await, with highlights including Hujin for Cantonese classics, Janu Mercato, which serves Italian cuisine and seafood, Janu Grill for prime cuts, and Iigura, Janu’s omakase restaurant with just six seats.

For drinks and cocktail moments, the fifth-floor lobby is also home to Janu Lounge & Terrace, a chic pit stop for afternoon tea and the hotel’s main bar, where the menu is inspired by the different districts of Tokyo.
