DETAILS

Overlooking the scenic Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof, and Franschhoek mountains, the estate sits in the Drakenstein Valley, halfway between the wine towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, and spans over 500 acres of open countryside and vineyards.

33 uniquely designed accommodations reflect the agricultural roots of the farm and the interiors of muted to perfectly harmonise comfort with understated style, a theme synonymous across Babylonstoren to accentuate its rural aesthetic.

Period charm sets the tone for suites, cottages, and houses, ranging from one-bedroom suites to larger Fynbos cottages and family houses. Perfectly suited to larger groups or longer stays on the estate, many feature fireplaces and cast-iron stoves to elevate the cosy vibe throughout each room.

Across the estate, Babylonstoren’s Garden Spa is centred on nature, and holistic treatments are complemented by a scenic outdoor pool and the spa’s hot spa, which features a rich indoor pool with sauna, salt room, and two vitality pools and is the latest addition to the estate.

For dining, much of the produce served across the three dining options is grown in the estate’s gardens, and a strong farm-to-table philosophy is showcased throughout on-site culinary experiences.

Babylonstoren’s flagship Babel Restaurant is set within the estate’s historic buildings and offers seasonal menus using vegetables, herbs and fruits harvested from the gardens. The greenhouse and bakery both offer a more informal take, with charming light bites and drinks served outdoors.
