Hyatt Privé is the invitation-only programme Hyatt runs with a select group of luxury travel agencies. Berkeley Travel books through it, which means clients staying at over 200 participating Hyatt hotels receive complimentary benefits that are not available when booking direct, at the same rate the hotel shows on hyatt.com.

The programme spans ten Hyatt brands and just over 200 hotels, but the heart of it for our clients is narrower: Park Hyatt, which participates in full, the standout Alila resorts such as Alila Villas Uluwatu and Alila Ventana Big Sur, and Miraval’s wellness resorts. A handful of others earn their place, Hotel Martinez in Cannes among them. The rest of the programme we book on request rather than feature.

A room upgrade of one category confirmed within 24 hours of booking subject to availability, daily breakfast for two per room, a hotel credit set by the property, early check-in and late check-out subject to availability, a welcome amenity, and VIP recognition throughout the stay.

Yes, and it is the programme’s signature. Where an upgrade is available, it is confirmed within 24 hours of booking, room to room or suite to suite, rather than left to the front desk on arrival. You know which room you are getting before you fly.

No. You pay the standard flexible rate the hotel shows on hyatt.com, and we charge no booking fee. The Hyatt Privé benefits are added on top at no extra cost.

Yes. The booking is made in your own World of Hyatt name, so you earn points and elite night credits, your Globalist or Explorist benefits are recognised on top of the programme benefits, and the stay counts towards Hyatt promotions in the normal way.

Each property sets its own, typically US$100 or a local equivalent, applied once per stay to dining, the spa or other hotel charges rather than the room rate. Some hotels substitute an experience or transfer instead. Your Travel Designer confirms the exact credit for your hotel before you book.

The hotel’s standard flexible rate, the same one shown on hyatt.com. Points redemptions, prepaid and non-refundable rates and most promotional rates do not qualify. Privé also runs its own offers at select hotels, such as a third, fourth or fifth night free, which we apply whenever they leave you better off.

Not at Park Hyatt or Miraval. Alila properties generally ask for two nights, with exceptions such as Alila Ventana Big Sur, and some other participating brands ask for two or more. Your Travel Designer confirms the position for your hotel.

The headline benefits are similar: breakfast, a credit and an upgrade. The practical differences are that Fine Hotels + Resorts requires a Platinum or Centurion card while Privé requires nothing but booking through a partner agency, and Privé’s upgrade is confirmed at booking where one is available rather than on arrival. The hotel lists differ, and where a property sits in both, your Travel Designer books whichever leaves you better off.

You pay the hotel directly, exactly as if you had booked with it yourself. Your card guarantees the reservation and the hotel’s standard flexible cancellation policy applies, which we confirm in writing before anything is committed.
