How Four Seasons Preferred Partner Works, and How to Book It
5 min read
Book a Four Seasons at the same rate as going direct and have benefits added to your stay. This guide explains how the Four Seasons Preferred Partner programme works, why it runs through travel agents, and how to book it with Berkeley Travel. For the full list of what you receive, see our Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits.
Same Rate, Two Very Different Stays
Two couples check in to the same Four Seasons on the same afternoon, having paid the same rate for the same room category. One is handed a room key. The other is handed a better room key, breakfast for the week, a credit to spend at the spa and a note from the general manager. The only difference is how they booked. That is the Four Seasons Preferred Partner programme in one scene, and this guide explains what it is, exactly what you receive, and how to make sure your next Four Seasons stay is the second couple’s.
What Is the Four Seasons Preferred Partner Programme?
Four Seasons Preferred Partner is an invitation-only programme through which Four Seasons recognises a small number of travel agencies worldwide. Guests cannot join it; agencies are selected for it. When a booking is made through a Preferred Partner agency, the hotel attaches a fixed set of benefits to the reservation at no cost above the public rate.
It is not a loyalty scheme. There are no points to earn, no tiers to climb and no membership card. The benefits attach to the booking, not to you, so a first-time Four Seasons guest booked through a Preferred Partner receives the same recognition as a regular. Berkeley Travel holds Four Seasons Preferred Partner status, one of a handful of London agencies that do.
What a Preferred Partner Booking Adds
The benefits are the same at every Four Seasons hotel and resort, which is unusual; most hotel-brand programmes vary by property. In short, a Preferred Partner booking adds daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit of US$100 to US$200 per stay, a room upgrade and early check-in and late check-out (both subject to availability), a welcome amenity and VIP recognition from the moment the hotel sees your name on the arrivals list.
The benefits also combine with Four Seasons’ own published offers, including advance-purchase and stay-longer rates, so you are not choosing between a promotion and the perks. Over a five-night stay for two, breakfast and credit alone are typically worth several hundred pounds, and the upgrade, when it lands, is worth considerably more.
See the full Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits, including how the credit and upgrade apply to suites and Private Residences.
Beyond the Hotels: Yachts, Private Jet and Explorer
What most guides miss is that the programme now reaches beyond hotel rooms. Four Seasons Yachts launched its first ship in March 2026, the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience runs round-the-world journeys aboard a custom Airbus, and the Four Seasons Explorer sails the Maldives. Preferred Partner recognition applies to these too, though the exact benefits differ from the hotel list because the products are so different. We confirm what applies to each journey before you commit.
How to Book Through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner Travel Agent
There is no online button for it. You book through a Preferred Partner agency, which places the reservation with the hotel’s reservations team and attaches the benefits. With Berkeley Travel the process is a conversation: tell your Travel Designer the hotel, the dates and the occasion, and you receive a quote at the public rate with the benefits itemised, then the hotel’s confirmation showing them. If you have already found a lower public rate, send it to us; the benefits attach to published Four Seasons rates, so the comparison is almost always in your favour. Properties our clients book most through the programme include the George V in Paris, Landaa Giraavaru in the Maldives, Four Seasons Seychelles, Four Seasons Anguilla and, in England, Four Seasons Hampshire. For a honeymoon, the Maldives properties pair the programme with our guide to Maldives honeymoons.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner FAQs
These are the questions people ask most about the Four Seasons Preferred Partner programme, from how to find a Preferred Partner agent and whether it costs extra, to the perennial confusion about whether Four Seasons belongs to Marriott or Hilton.
A Four Seasons Preferred Partner is a travel agency that Four Seasons has selected, by invitation, to offer its guests a fixed package of benefits on every booking: daily breakfast for two, a US$100 to US$200 hotel credit, a room upgrade subject to availability, early check-in and late check-out, and VIP recognition, all at the same rate as booking direct. The full list is on our Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits page.
Four Seasons does not publish a public directory, so the practical route is to ask an agency directly whether it holds Preferred Partner status, and to look for the programme named on its partnerships page. Most Preferred Partner agencies are also Virtuoso members. Berkeley Travel holds both, and our Preferred Partner status is listed on our trusted partners page.
The benefits are identical through every Preferred Partner, so the difference is the agency around them: whether your Travel Designer has stayed in the hotel, knows which rooms to request, can combine the stay with flights and the rest of the trip, and is reachable if something goes wrong mid-stay. The strongest combination is a Preferred Partner that also holds Virtuoso and the other major hotel programmes, with financial protection on your booking.
No. You pay Four Seasons’ published rate, and the benefits are added on top. There is no membership fee and no minimum stay.
No. Four Seasons is an independent company, headquartered in Toronto, majority-owned by Cascade Investment with Kingdom Holding as the other principal shareholder. It belongs to no hotel group and no points programme, which is exactly why Preferred Partner exists: it is the only structured way to be recognised at Four Seasons beyond being a known regular.
They are different things. Marriott is a group of more than thirty brands, with Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and EDITION at its luxury end; Four Seasons is a single luxury brand of around 130 hotels. Marriott’s equivalent recognition programmes are STARS and Luminous, which Berkeley also holds, so for most clients the honest answer is to choose the right hotel for the trip and let us attach whichever programme applies.
Book Your Next Four Seasons Stay with Berkeley
Same rate, better stay: that is the whole proposition. Berkeley Travel’s Travel Designers hold Four Seasons Preferred Partner status alongside Marriott STARS and Luminous, Rosewood Elite, Belmond Bellini Club and the other major programmes, so the right benefits follow you from hotel to hotel.
